Beginner Paragliding Course in Malaga
This elementary paragliding course in Malaga is designed for complete beginners. Whether you’ve never flown before or you’re looking for a structured and certified program, this is your first step into the world of free flight. The course is conducted by professional instructors in a safe and stunning environment in Southern Spain.

Objective
Over the course of six days, you will build a solid foundation in paragliding, including:
Understanding paragliding equipment and safety procedures
- Ground handling: controlling the wing on the ground
- Safe launch and landing techniques
- Tandem instructional flights with your instructor
- A minimum of 2 solo flights under supervision
At the end of the course, you will be eligible for FAI IPPI 2 certification, which qualifies you to continue your training with the Club Pilot Course (IPPI Stage 3) and progress toward more autonomous flying.

About the course
A day in our elementary paragliding course is a balanced mix of theory, practical training, and hands-on flying experience designed to build your skills step-by-step:
- Morning Session:
We start with a theoretical class covering essential topics such as weather conditions, safety, equipment overview, and flight techniques. This prepares you with the knowledge needed for the practical part. - Midday Practical Training:
After theory, you’ll move to ground handling exercises, learning how to control the wing on the ground. This is crucial for safe takeoffs and landings. - Afternoon Flights:
Weather permitting, you will perform tandem instructional flights with your instructor, followed by supervised solo practice on a small hill. This hands-on flying builds your confidence and technique. - Review and Preparation:
The day ends with a review session where you discuss progress, ask questions, and prepare for the next day’s activities.

Am I covered by the school's insurance?
Yes, we provide civil liability and accident insurance.
However, we recommend that you also have your own travel accident insurance with full rescue and repatriation coverage.
Health and Physical Requirements
Before starting the course, it is advisable to consult your doctor if you have any medical concerns. While a formal medical exam is not required to join our paragliding course, being in good overall health is important for your safety and enjoyment.
Age is not the primary factor when learning to paraglide; instead, your physical fitness, general health, and mental condition are what really matter.
Please note: The maximum allowed weight for students is 110 kg.
You should be prepared to stay active and have good coordination, as takeoff and landing involve running a short distance while carrying paragliding equipment weighing approximately 15 kilograms.
